Compared to coated paper, the paper surface of uncoated paper is not refined with an additional coating. Instead, the paper retains its natural look and feel. Uncoated paper is therefore also referred to as “natural paper”.

SC paper stands for supercalendered paper. The calendering process involves pressing and smoothing the paper between metal rollers (calenders). This produces a type of glossy surface not usually associated with uncoated papers. The greater the calendering load (i.e., the higher the pressure between the metal rollers), the glossier the paper. Supercalenders can be used for all high-gloss grades. Our SC paper is thus particularly smooth and glossy, offering a high-quality surface for printing colour photos.
